OK — have been messing about with this thing for maybe six months now and it’s stuck on my phone, so thought I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me last week. Am UK based, generally do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

How I found it was honestly a bit daft — I never could work out what an e/w return actually came to once you get five places instead of three. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. Now punch the numbers in first, every time, even the boring singles.

Their single bet calculator is the one I use most — you drop in the price and your stake and it shows the return straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles returns, lucky 15s, a yankee, which is where most people I know got it wrong. Have a go yourself, it lives at ew lucky 15 bet calculator and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What really shifted things for me was the geekier tools. They’ve got an probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. The dutch tool is handy too when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. Its layout is very functional, let’s say — zero frills, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. Phone-wise it works though the acca grid need a bit of scrolling. And no proper app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Costs nowt, not plastered in adverts, does what it says. If anyone still adds it up in their head, have a look — it’s saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

OK — have been messing about with this thing for about a few months now and it’s stuck on my phone, reckon I’d chuck my thoughts in since someone asked me last week. Am based in the UK, generally do football and horses, a fiver here and there, just so you know where I’m coming from.

What got me on it was actually a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an each way return would be with 1/5 odds a place. Basically I’d guess and moan when the payout landed. These days I stick my stake in before I place anything, even a simple single bet.

The single bet calculator is the one I’m on daily — you drop in your stake, the odds and it shows profit and total return straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the fiddly ones — doubles and trebles maths, lucky 15 and lucky 63, a yankee, and that’s where I’d always mess it up. If you want a look, it’s over at bet accumulator calculator and there’s no login wall, which I appreciated.

One thing that really changed how I bet were the more serious extras. The odds-to-probability converter that shows what margin’s baked in, and there’s the kelly criterion tool — I use half kelly since full stakes are far too aggressive. Dutching calculator gets used a fair bit if I’m covering two or three runners.

Couple of gripes. The design looks a bit basic — not much polish, looks like it was built by someone who cares more about maths than colours. On my phone it works though the bigger tables make you pinch and zoom. There’s nothing on the app store, just the site — doesn’t bother me just flagging it.

Right, that’s me. Doesn’t cost anything, no ads shoved in your face, does the job. If anyone even now does the maths on paper, give it a go — it’s saved me a load of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Right — have been messing about with this thing for something like four months now and I keep coming back, so thought I’d write something up since a lad on another thread asked me last week. Am based in the UK, mostly bet football and racing, nothing mad, just so you know where I’m coming from.

The reason I started using it was honestly pretty stupid — I never could get my head round what an ew payout actually was once you get five places instead of three. I’d just wing it and moan when the payout landed. Now stick my stake in before I place anything, even the boring singles.

The single bet calculator tool is the part I open most — you drop in stake and odds and it shows profit and total return with no faffing, either odds format. There’s also the multiples — acca and treble returns, lucky 15s, patents and yankees, which is where most people I know got it wrong. If you fancy a poke about, it’s here calculate a betting accumulator — free, no signup.

One thing that genuinely shifted things for me is the geekier extras. They’ve got an probability calculator which shows you what margin’s baked in, and a kelly tool — I use half kelly as the full version is far too aggressive. Dutching calculator is handy too for when I’m covering two or three runners.

It’s not perfect mind. The interface feels very functional, let’s say — no flash, it’s clearly function over form. Phone-wise it works but the acca grid are a squeeze. Also there’s no proper app, just the site — doesn’t bother me but you asked.

So yeah. Free, barely any ads, works. If you still adds it up in their head, try it — saves me plenty of dumb bets I’d have regretted.

Right — been using this thing for something like a few months now and I keep coming back, so figured I’d chuck my thoughts in since a mate asked me the other day. Am in the UK, mostly stick to footie and the horses, a fiver here and there, so take it how you like.

The reason I started using it was actually a bit daft — I never could get my head round what an each way return would be when the place terms changed. I’d just guess and then be surprised. These days I type the odds in before I place anything, even a straight one-selection punt.

Their single bet calculator tool is the bit I use most — you put in the price and your stake and you get returns straight away, either odds format. Same tool covers the multiples — acca and treble returns, a lucky 15, a yankee, honestly that’s where I always lose track. If you want a look, it lives at how does a treble bet work and it’s free with no account nonsense.

What really shifted things for me is the more serious extras. The implied probability calculator and it makes obvious what margin’s baked in, and a kelly staking tool — I stick to fractional kelly since full stakes are terrifying. Dutching calculator is decent for when I’m spreading across selections.

Couple of gripes. Its interface is very functional, let’s say — zero polish, which honestly I don’t mind but some will. Phone-wise it’s usable but the lucky 63 breakdown are a squeeze. There’s no app, it’s a website and that’s it — fine by me but worth saying.

So yeah. Free, barely any ads, does the job. If you honestly works out returns on a calculator app, give it a go — saves me a load of “wait, that’s it?” moments.
